Artist in Residence Program

Michael Damm

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION

The Artist in Residence Program at Recology San Francisco is accepting applications for 2016. The goal of the Artist in Residence Program is to use art to inspire people to recycle more and conserve our natural resources. We provide local Bay Area artists with the opportunity to create art using materials gathered from San Francisco’s public disposal area (the dump). This includes 24-hour access to a well-equipped 2,000 sq. ft. studio, a monthly stipend, and an exhibition at the end of each residency.

*Only local professional artists who reside in the Bay Area may apply. Deadline: September 1, 2015

Applications are accepted June 1 – September 1. Prior to applying, artists must take a tour of the recycling facilities, art studio, and sculpture garden by joining one of our public tours. The tours are held on the third Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. To reserve a spot and get important information, please call Micah Gibson at 415-330-1414.
