BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Jessamyn Lovell (b. 1977, Syracuse, NY) is an artist and educator currently living in Albuquerque, NM. She received her BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology and her MFA from California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. Her art practice integrates a combination of digital and traditional photography in combination with a variety of other media to examine personal narrative and the imperfections of day-to-day life. Her photographs have been exhibited nationally, is in numerous public and private collections, and she is the recipient of several awards, including the Aperture Portfolio Prize. Her work has also gained recognition and support from Center for Contemporary Art, Santa Fe, Light Work, The Richmond Art Center, The Museum of Forward Thinking, CENTER and SF Camerawork.
