Félix Lazo is a visual artist and electroacoustic music composer, currently working with Feedback Interactive Systems, at the edge of visual and auditive phenomena. He applies music concepts to his visual works, using rhythm, pitch, tension, chords, tuning and other more unconscious and unnamable parameters. His aim is to produce a visual-sound that resonates in the body of the observer.
Félix Lazo was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, and earned a MA at the Teacher’s College of Columbia University and studied Computer Music Composition at the Center of Musical Composition (CCMIX) in Paris, with French composer and music theorist Iannis Xenakis. Based in Frutillar, Chile, he has exhibited in venues such as; Museum of Contemporary Art, Santiago, Chile; Marlborough Gallery, Santiago, Chile; and Joyce Yahouda Gallery, Montreal, Canada.
