This is a portrait of Anne Truitt, minimalist sculptor, parallel to investigate the biography of the composer Joan La Barbara. Rescue the space of their performances; Space in which the composer and musician were developing a mysterious halo; aluminum accented by hiding part of the image. Finally portrait artist Joan La Barbara is relegated to only aura. No longer acts her figure; but the idea of what she expresses in her performances.
Pablo Jansana (1976) currently based in Brooklyn, New York after graduating from the Finis Terrae University. He continued his training with a grant from ISCP International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York during the years 2009-2010 and SVA School of Visual Arts, new York (2009). The artist has won several awards and residencies abroad. He has exhibited in AMA, Art Museum of the Americas, Washington DC (2015); Eleven Rivington, New York (2014); The Goma, Spain, (2012 and 2013); Biennial Museo del Barrio, New York (2012 – 2013), Gallery Artespacio, Chile (2014); among others. Jansana was awarded the AM / PM Fondart (2007) and Dirac (2013) for the exhibition “Visible Architects; New Chilean art global crossroad “curated by Christian Viveros Fauné in the Chilean embassy in Washington and the Museum of the City of New York. His work was published in “Art in America” (2014); “The New York Times” (2013); Abstraction in Action, curated by Cecilia Fajardo-Hill (2013-2014-2015); “Fluxus” (2012) and “Arte al Dia” (2011).
